10-year-old schoolgirl from Astana Aimen Nurzhan has developed a mobile application "EXPO 2017 Guide Tour" for guests of the world specialized exhibition. As the Kazakhstan website "Mamam Papam" informs, the program shows the geolocation of the pavilions of the Astana EXPO 2017 participating countries.
The authors of the material note that the schoolgirl is fond of IT-technologies since she was very little and she was able to develop the program thanks to the support of the alumni team of the presidential program "Bolashak".
"Since my earliest childhood I wanted to create something of my own, something that will help people." When I found out that our country would hold such a big event as EXPO 2017 I really wanted to somehow participate in it. Our teachers from programming school in Astana helped to create an application for EXPO 2017. I hope that it will be useful for everyone who will come to us this summer", - the girl shared.
As founders of the programming school in Astana, Oyrat Azbergenov and Zhanibek Isabekov said an application like this can be developed by any child with due desire and diligence.
"In our academy we focus more on making sure that the child feels like an inventor and that's why it is called "Inventor". "Unfortunately, ordinary schools do not pay much attention to this because too many children are in the classroom. Programming is a good tool of putting fantasies and ideas of the person into life and also very useful skill which teaches people to think and it will be useful for the child in the future", - Isabekov told.
The "EXPO 2017 Guide Tour" application for smartphones based on Android can be downloaded from the following link.
"With the help of the application you cannot only learn how to get to a pavilion of the exhibition as well as the location of service points: restaurants, taxis and buses, a help desk and so on", - says the description of the program on the Google Play website.
It should be noted that the development of Aimen Nurzhan is not the only application dedicated to EXPO 2017. Earlier, a mobile guide for visitors of the exhibition was developed by Kazakhstani students within 24 hours at the IT competition "Hakaton".
