Akim of Astana checked the progress of the construction of the bike path to the territory of EXPO

10 May

Akim of Astana Aset Isekeshev made another morning tour about the capital of Kazakhstan on the eve of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. This was announced by the akim on his Facebook page.

"Today I examined a number of projects that are underway. The area to the road near houses 2 and 4 of the Kulager apartments will be completely asphalted where a large parking lot will be created. We are going to negotiate with the residents in order to place barriers in the yard and to prohibit the entry and parking of cars. We will put children's and sports grounds, small squares in the inner yards", - the akim wrote.

According to the head of the city, another problematic issue is driveways between the quarters.

"We will make 18 driveways in the Yesil district this year. Today I also inspected the progress of the works near the Infiniti apartments. On May all the roads will be completed and asphalted. Another important project is to construct a sidewalk 4,5 meters wide for pedestrians (3 meters) and bicyclists (1.5 meters) along Kabanbai street from Syganak street to the EXPO site", - Isekeshev said.

Aset Isekeshev took the habit of committing morning tours around Astana in order to control the course of preparation of the capital for the EXPO 2017 after criticism from the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev which was made at a meeting dedicated to the world specialized exhibition.
