Sign language tour guides were trained for EXPO guests with special needs

In Astana, sign language tour guides who were trained to work during the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 began their work. Trained in sign language tour guides will work with tourists and guests with special needs, EXPO2017.com website reports with reference to the press service of akim of Astana.

"Each specialist has undergone an evaluation of theoretical and practical skills and received a certificate of completion of special courses. The curriculum includes: study of excursion, psychology, methods of working with disabled people, history of the region, the history of EXPO exhibition and infrastructure of EXPO 2017 in Astana,”  informed in the press service.

In total, 11 sign language specialists were trained in “Astana Convention Bureau” LLC. All of them are involved in the work on providing sightseeing services around the city and on the territory of the exhibition.
