Two residents of Semey 60-year-old individual entrepreneur Dulat Tukeyev and 56-year-old school guard Rashid Baypakbayev covered more than 770 kilometers in 7 days on bicycle to get to the capital of Kazakhstan for the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017, Bnews.kz informs.
"We started our journey along the route of Semey-Astana on June 24. We took working clothes, change shoes and water along with us", - Tukeyev said.
The enthusiasts overcame an average of 100 kilometers per day. As noted by amateur cyclists, the campaign is organized with the support of the akimat of Semey and the sports committee which provided sponsors.
We were met in all major cities such as Kurchatov, Ekibastuz, Aksu, Yereimentau, Turkestan, we were provided accommodation and food, in general we rode 770 kilometers", - Baypakbayev said. The residents of Semey will return home by car.
Earlier, Georgian traveler Nodar Beridze covered 8 thousand kilometers on a bicycle for the sake of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. Having covered the section of the transcontinental bike ride "The Way of the World" which started in Vladivostok, he arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan. It should be noted that Beridze as well as Tukeyev and Baypakbayev are not the only travelers who performed the Astana EXPO 2017 bike ride.
