A lot of flaws were found in the official website of the organizers of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. The Forbes magazine wrote about the bloopers and inconsistencies in the design of the main exhibition portal after it was revealed that the background of the site was used as an illustration of the cover of James Hooper's book "How to grow out of asthma as quickly as humanly possible".
In addition, the authors of the material noticed the out-of-place buttons in the website header. According to the representatives of the publication, the designer used a standard template from Power Point or another design software.
Deficiencies are also found in the "Archive of all news" section. Disregard for the readers, the newspaper notes, is expressed in the alignment of the text on the width which causes huge gaps betwen the words.
Search on the site also presents certain difficulties. The developer for unknown reasons displays only two results per page. The function of increasing the font size in the "History of World Exhibitions" section on the website version for the visually impaired people changes not the font but the line spacing. The authors suggest that more detailed analysis is most likely to reveal a lot more interesting things in the "web design of the future".
Let us remind that Kazakhstan blogger Konstantin Nagayev recently reported about another plagiarism by the organizers of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 and provided the cover of the book "How to grow out of asthma as quickly as humanly possible" comparing it with the photo of the official website background. It turned out that the only difference between the photos was the image of an Asian smiling person pasted in the foreground.
In mid-April Kazakhstan video blogger Adil Zhumekenov found famous actors Orlando Bloom and Ben Affleck on the official advertising posters of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. The photos of the Hollywood stars were mounted in the images using a graphics editor.
In early April Kazakh journalist Ruslan Bakhtigarev suspected plagiarism of the creators of the infamous mascots of the international specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. According to Bakhtigarev, the mascots of Moldir and Saule are unsuccessful copies of Yeony and Suny, mascots of EXPO 2012 in South Korea.
