23 May

France pavilion at the worldwide specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 will consist of two levels with the total area of 1083 square meters. This was reported by "Kazakhstanskaya Pravda" newspaper with reference to Pascal Loro, Commissioner of the French section of the exhibition in Astana .

"At the first level we will demonstrate our enterprises which have the most advanced achievements in the field of future technologies. The second floor will be dedicated to colloquiums zone, symposia, debates where we will be able to meet more than 200 visitors at a time. Our booth will present three key themes: renewable energy, smart cities, ecomobility. A special area will be devoted to each of the partners so that they should have the opportunity to showcase their interactive elements with tactile screens and the latest developments", - Loro shared.

The partners of the pavilion include such well-known French companies as the Agency for Rational Use of the Environment and Energy Resources (ADEME), Iter, Peugeot, Saint-Gobain, Syctom, Total, Veolia, Vicat. The purpose of these companies is to draw the world's attention to the need to use more energy-efficient models of energy consumption and to offer solutions that can slow down the process of climate change. As the French say, these are issues that are of primary importance for present and future generations.

"The pavilion will have a separate section dedicated to the transport of the future. There will be all kinds of electric transport starting from scooters to electric cars. The key exhibit will be a completely new development of Peugeot - an electric car with a futuristic design. I think this will be especially liked by children", - said the French pavilion commissioner .

At the same time he did not tell what kind of car will be presented in Astana.

The exposition of France will be presented in three areas - "Eco-City", "Renewable Energy" and "Ecotransport". The facade of the pavilion will be decorated with landscapes of various corners of France.

"The seven compartments of the first floor of the French pavilion, made in accordance with one of the themes, will allow visitors to get acquainted with new technologies in the field of green energy. The compartments are connected by galleries where outstanding French persons who have contributed to the development of the world civilization will be presented", - Loro summed up.

The publication notes that the visitors of EXPO in Astana will be shown to France's rich spiritual heritage and cultural traditions.

"Visitors to the territory of the pavilion will see the works of French artists - the composition "Mini Aqua" created by the sculptor Milena Hermon, the image of Marianne - the symbol of the French Republic made by illustrator Ian Dalon, photos of the most picturesque corners of the country which will decorate the facade of the pavilion. During the work of the international exhibition EXPO 2017 the pavilion will hold festive events in honor of national holidays of the republic - Day of France (June 21) and Bastille Day (July 14). Numerous seminars, master classes and scientific conferences will be held", - the newspaper reports.

In addition, the exhibition will feature a series of events organized by the French representatives in the framework of the festival of music, a festival that is held in France on June 21 for more than 30 years.

"Guests of the festival will see traditional circus numbers and cabaret, hear the music of the south-west of France and Brittany. The students of the Kazakh National University of Arts will perform songs in the French language", - the publication mentions.

Let us remind that in late March a meeting of French authorities with representatives of local business circles was held in Paris where the participation of France in EXPO 2017 was discussed. Then it became known that at the moment French businessmen are implementing two major investment projects in Kazakhstan on desalination of sea water.

Later it was reported about the plans of the French photographer Eric Wazzoler to hold an exhibition of blind photographers at the EXPO. Foundation of the first president of Kazakhstan initiated classes in Almaty and Karaganda held by the photographer.

In late April the equipment for the French EXPO Pavilion was stuck at the customs of Kazakhstan. As representatives of the pavilion of France said, problems arose with logistics.

It should be noted that France will present 8 startups at the exhibition in Astana. All of them are included in the top 100 projects to be demonstrated at EXPO 2017.
