The beauty of the resort Burabay inspired the chief sculptor of the Kazakhstan pavilion of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017, Michael Obrenovich. His impressions about Kazakhstan the Frenchman shared with the information portal 365info.kz.
As the edition notes in the article "Kazakhstan needs its own theory of the relativity of time - the Frenchman at EXPO", the works of the French sculptor were exhibited in many countries, including France, Macau, Bali, Indonesia and Singapore. EXPO 2017 is not the first experience of the master on large projects.
"I am one of the main artists invited to display my works at the forthcoming EXPO exhibition in Astana. The exposition will include five conceptual sculptures in accordance with the theme "Energy of the Future” and will be demonstrated in the Kazakhstan pavilion. I have put a soul and an imagination in every exhibit to symbolize possible future sources of energy, using an abstract vision,” Obrenovich noted.
According to the artist, he has already visited several cities of Kazakhstan. While travelling he liked a lot of things, including the national cuisine, the atmosphere of hospitality and the colourful landscapes of Burabay.
"I hope I will have more time during my next trip to the opening of the exhibition in June to learn more about Kazakhstan. I would like to see more mountains and nature. Perhaps this would be a new source of inspiration for my art after a trip to Burabay. I really loved the wind in the steppe, beautiful light in the birch forest and the lake - it was an amazing experience," the sculptor said.
It should be reminded, “Kazakhstan" pavilion of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 will be divided into two main zones. The first will acquaint guests closer with the host country of the exhibition, and the second will be called "Creative energy”. In the central part of the national pavilion will be placed a model of the Kazakhstan material science thermonuclear reactor “Tokamak”- it is an experimental thermonuclear installation for research and testing of materials under conditions of energy loads close to ITER (the project of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor). According to the Russian media, the thermonuclear reactor itself will be put into operation in the city of Kurchatov by the beginning of Astana EXPO 2017.
Earlier, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Kanat Bozumbayev said, the work on the preparation of the national pavilion EXPO of the host country of the exhibition came to the final stage. It is already known that a beautiful light show will be displayed at night on the walls of the pavilion building.
In mid-May, details of the content of the Kazakhstan EXPO pavilion were revealed. Kazakhstan will present 28 projects on the theme "Energy of the future” at the world specialized exhibition.
