A famous Kazakhstani biker has visited more than 100 countries in support of EXPO

The five-year auto-motoexpedition dedicated to the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 is almost over. This was stated by the organizer of the expedition, the famous biker Dmitry Petrukhin, "TASS" news agency reported.

"Now we are on the final straight in Europe and we have less than two weeks to go before EXPO 2017. Our task is to promote renewable energy and energy efficient lifestyles and attract as many tourists as possible to Astana so that EXPO 2017 truly becomes a triumph of Kazakhstan "- the biker said.

During the expedition the member of the Geographical Community of Kazakhstan has visited more than 100 countries.

It should be noted that the European stage of the expedition started in Astana on May, 1 and includes visits to 27 countries. As a part of the tour, travellers organized a series of meetings with representatives of the general public, round tables devoted to the theme of the international exhibition. Dmitry Petrukhin visited the office of the International Bureau of Exhibitions in Paris.

The completion of the expedition is scheduled for June, 10 - the opening day of the exhibition.

Let us remind, earlier a Kazakhstani motocross race also started in support of EXPO 2017. It began in the South Kazakhstan region and will cover most of the territory of Kazakhstan. The action will last 13 days, from May 29 to June 10, with the main event continuing in Astana.
