65 additional buses to Astana from the regions of Kazakhstan will be launched by the EXPO

Akim of Astana Aset Isekeshev together with the Minister for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kasymbek checked the implementation of the joint plan for the development of the transport and logistics system of the capital on the eve of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. This was reported in the press service of Astana akim.

"During the on-site meeting Isekeshev and Kasymbek visited the territory of the new railway station, where they inspected the progress of road construction works, bus routes, installation of stops, the location of parking for cars, etc. According to the reports of the responsible workers 6 lane road 4.7 kilometers long is being built along Baytursynov and Nazhimidenov streets from Tauelsyzdyk avenue to the new railway station", - the statement said.

Estimated traffic capacity is more than 5,5 thousand cars. The same work is being done in front of the railway station on A82 street and behind the station on A62 street.

"Within the framework of the international exhibition EXPO 2017 buses will be arriving from all regions. 118 buses will operate daily - 53 main and 65 additional buses. It is planned to divide inter-city bus routes into four bus stations for passengers’ convenience and safety", - the akimat said.

Buses of "Saparzhay" station will operate as usual.

"The meeting was also held at the operating railway station where the akim and the minister were introduced to the plans for the reconstruction of the capital railway station. A number of systematic questions on the preparatory work were solved as a result of on-site visits. The operative decisions were made on the ground", - the Astana akim press service said.

At the same time "Saparzhay" bus station was earlier criticized by a member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan in III, IV and V convocations and nowadays public figure and adviser to the Minister for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Tanirbergen Berdongar. He inspected the object and posted a video afterwards commented by users who confessed that they felt ashamed of this bus station for tourists arriving to the EXPO.
