27 April

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan is studying the issues that population is concerned about on the threshold of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. Among the problems of concern to Kazakhstanis is the possible increase in prices for a number of goods and services, “Atameken business channel" reports.

Since the beginning of the year, the Ministry has been collecting and analyzing current issues of concern to the public, received from representatives of the civil sector.

"The most worrying issues for the past period were the increase in prices for fuels and lubricants, consumer goods and socially significant services; unreasonably high costs for the Astana EXPO 2017 exhibition, employment of the population, including young people," the Office reports.

The problems of the country's environmental security, land resources deficit, housing and communal services, flood situation, education, teen suicide, the banking sector and so on were among the topical issues.

The Office urges representatives of the non-governmental sector and active Kazakhstanis to participate in the compilation of the list. This list of issues will be subsequently forwarded to the relevant state bodies for consideration and taking the necessary measures.

Let us remind, earlier at the meeting on the holding of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 akim of Astana, Asset Issekeshev told about the risk of deficit and rise in price of products in the capital of Kazakhstan during EXPO.
