Many EXPO participating countries have not completed their national pavilions

29 May

Many countries participating in the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 have not been able to complete the work on the design of their national pavilions at this time. This was told to the journalists by the Chairman of the board of JSC "NC" “Astana Expo 2017” Akhmetzhan Yessimov, "Khabar 24” TV channel reported.

"Yessimov noted that the design of EXPO facilities is now continuing, the handover of the pavilions took place on November 1, but many countries delayed construction," television channel reported.

At the same time, the head of the organizer of the exhibition assured that all the pavilions will be ready for the official opening of EXPO.

"At the previous Milan exhibition, not a dozen countries completed their work already after the opening of the exhibition. We want to avoid it. This week there was an inspection commission of the IEB  (International Exhibition Bureau - Note EXPO2017.com), and they said that such a degree of readiness, like our exhibition, had not yet been the case. Secretary General of IEB Mr. Loscertales said that this exhibition, for 27 years of his work as the head of the IEB, will be the best,” Yessimov stressed.

Let us remind, on May 24, the International Exhibition Bureau Deputy Secretary General Mr. Dimitri Kerkentzes arrived in Astana from Paris. The representative of the IEB inspected the readiness of the objects of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 for the event and noted the high level of preparation for EXPO 2017.
