The National Day of Thailand was held at the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. The event was attended by the Minister of Energy of Thailand Anantaporn Kanjanarat, Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexey Tsoi, as well as other high-ranking guests, EXPO2017.com website reports with reference to the organizers of the exhibition. The head of the Ministry of Energy of Thailand noted that his country is ready to demonstrate the potential of using agricultural waste and residues for renewable energy sources with added value. In his speech, he thanked Kazakhstan for the opportunity to participate in the exhibition and stressed the importance of the theme - "Future Energy".
"Thailand's energy policy is focused on sustainability and technological development.Our pavilion is designed in accordance with the concept of "Bioenergy for all.” Bearing in mind this concept, Thailand is ready to demonstrate the country’s potential and its promotion of the use of agricultural waste and residues for renewable energy sources with added value. This not only contributes to the implementation of the Thai government’s energy strategy, but will also help our local farmers,” Kanjanarat said.
In turn, the Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexey Tsoi noted that Kazakhstan has established close diplomatic relations with Thailand. He stressed that EXPO 2017 would provide a good opportunity for the business community of Thailand.
“The holding of the national day allows participants to show their best traditions, national culture, way of life and cuisine.I am confident that the holding of the National Day of Thailand will provide new opportunities for the expansion of bilateral mutually beneficial partnership, and the Thai business community through EXPO 2017 will take its leading position in Central Asia the CIS “ Alexey Tsoi added.
Let us note that the pavilion of Thailand is one of the largest pavilions at the exhibition with a total area of more than 900 square meters. It consists of three exhibition halls and is built on the principles of combining learning with entertainment.
It should be reminded that the national pavilion of Thailand was opened on the first day of work of EXPO 2017 exhibition. Exclusively for the guests of the opening ceremony, among which were Thai and Kazakh diplomats, as well as representatives of relevant ministries of Thailand, the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom organized a colourful presentation.
