Memorandum signed at EXPO to allow the Third Modernization of Kazakhstan

The “Astana” International Financial Centre, the Akimat of Astana, the“Park of Innovative Technologies” Autonomous Cluster Fund and the “Jumore" company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The signing of the document was held in the Chinese pavilion of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017, EXPO2017.com website reports, with reference to the press service of the AIFC.

"Within the framework of the signed document, the parties agreed to carry out interaction aimed at creating conditions for the introduction of digital services in order to implement the accelerated technological modernization of the economy within the framework of the Third Modernization of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the priorities and objectives identified in the “Digital Kazakhstan” program and the “One Belt, One Road”  initiative. According to the memorandum, “Jumore” company will work to create the conditions for establishing cooperation between Kazakh and Chinese companies through the use of the relevant online platform, as well as the development of e-commerce, logistics and financial services,” in the press service of the AIFC said.

The autonomous cluster fund will carry out the necessary expertise and operational control, and Akimat of Astana will assist in attracting companies and startups, engaged in technological entrepreneurship.

“The AIFC, in turn, provides the necessary support to companies and startups, whose activities are directed towards the development of financial technologies on the basis of an online platform," the representatives of the “Astana” International Financial Centre said.

Let us remind, at the solemn opening ceremony of the world specialized exhibition, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev told world leaders about further plans for using EXPO infrastructure. After the completion of the exhibition, the “Astana” International Financial Centre, as well as the International Technology Park of IT startups will launch their work on its territory.
