5 May

The bus fleet No. 1 in Astana was put on privatization on the eve of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. Such information was spread by the passenger transport department of the capital, the MIA "Kazinform" reports.

"Hereby we inform that according to the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On some issues of privatization for 2016-2020" dated December 30, 2015, the subordinate organization of JSC "Bus park №1" is on the list of communal property organizations offered for transfer to a competitive environment", - the passenger transport department of Astana reports.

Let us remind, at a meeting on the preparation for the international exhibition the President of Kazakhstan spoke about the ill-considered purchase of 380 buses. Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that Astana should differ from all cities in the world by efficient traffic. In addition, the Kazakh leader forbid the bus fleets of Astana to hire dangerous drivers.

Earlier it became known that the work on training the personnel of the bus fleets of the capital started in Astana on the eve of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 to meet foreign guests. After a lot of complaints the city authorities are currently trying to re-educate bus drivers. Also, the akimat informed that new special lanes will appear for the transportation of buses on the eve of the EXPO in Astana.
