18 Wi-Fi access points with free Internet access will appear in Astana, which operate on renewable energy sources. The project is being implemented by the Akimat of the capital of Kazakhstan on the threshold of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017, ELORDA.INFO reports.
As the representative of the Energy Department of Astana Rustam Kadyrov said, one of such objects is a fragment of a yurt, in which the energy of the sun and wind is used.
"Here you can relax and at the same time recharge gadgets and mobile devices.This installation is our pilot project, produced in Kazakhstan. It can be used all-season: not only in the summer days, but also in winter. If residents of the capital like it, we will place similar installations in other areas of the city,” Kadyrov shared.
Mr.Kadyrov said that the installation is under video surveillance.
"There is a video camera in this point, the image of which is sent to the controller's console to the capital's School Children Palace. We hope that people will treat the installation carefully, as it is made for the maximum convenience of residents and visitors of the capital,” said the representative of Department of Energy of Astana.
Earlier it became known that mobile phones charging stations powered by the Sun have appeared in Astana. The peculiarity of these facilities is the absolute energy efficiency and energy saving, built on the principle of energy consumption of the Sun, by heating the energy through installed solar panels.
Separately worth noting the technologies on which the infrastructure of the exhibition EXPO itself will be based. Thus, on the territory of the exhibition complex, according to the government of Kazakhstan, will operate the Smart building and lighting, Smart Grid power system and Intelligent parking.
