On the eve of EXPO 2017 rescuers of Astana and doctors of Akmola region learn English

As a part of the preparation for the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 English language courses started in the Astana Department of Emergency Situations. This was reported in the press service of akim of Astana city.

"The participants of the courses are engineers and inspectors of the department and its subordinate and structural subdivisions in the number of 62 people. For the duration of the international exhibition more than two million participants and guests are expected to arrive in the capital. To ensure safety during the event as well as to prevent emergencies it is necessary to reduce language barrier. In this regard, the engineering and inspection staff should competently and clearly answer the questions of foreign guests and participants of the exhibition", - the press service explained.

In accordance with the training program 72 lessons are planned for the beginning and continuing groups.

"After the completion of the courses the employees are tested for the ability to correctly introduce themselves, to conduct a conversation with foreign guests in English. Upon copmletion the certificates are issued", - akimat told.

Similarly, doctors of Akmola region study English, portal informs. The courses are held in the framework of the comprehensive training of medical personnel for the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017.

"On the first day  on the basis of an ambulance station a seminar took place. The topic of the seminar was "Acute coronary syndrome, acute cerebrovascular desease. Emergency medical assistance. On the second and third days the medical staff of the region took part in trainings on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, trauma and emergency care . On day four on the basis of the Akmola regional hospital a training session was held for the deployment of beds in case of emergency hospitalization of participants and guests of the exhibition, with an emphasis on the willingness to accept patients and triage. Also there were trainings on organizational work", - spokeswoman of the health department of Akmola region Nabira Esenova told.

There will also be conducted a training on the readiness of infectious desease ward in case of patients with quarantine and especially dangerous infections.
