Employees of Astana Emergency Situations Department carried out security rounds and an instruction on compliance with the requirements of fire safety standards at 70 catering facilities and pavilions of the countries participating in the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. "Rescue workers distributed pamphlets on emergency actions in Kazakh, Russian and English languages: they contain detailed descriptions of how to act in case of fire and carbon monoxide poisoning.The pamphlets contain the detailed instructions for assisting with thermal burns and the rules for using a fire extinguisher, emergency services numbers," report says.
Employees of the department recommend visitors to be cautious.
"To ensure security, it is necessary to remain vigilant, to comply with the general security rules, if you find suspicious boxes, packages and other items left unattended, immediately report it to the rescue service at number 112," the rescuers noted.
The staff of the Astana Emergency Situations Department are involved in the provision of fire safety and responsible for timely response to possible emergency situations during EXPO 2017 period.
"To date, responsible persons from other regions of the engineers and inspection staff have been assigned to carry out constant monitoring of fire safety at all EXPO 2017 facilities," in the department said.
