The American pavilion of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 is funded only by contributions from sponsors. This was stated by the US Ambassador to Kazakhstan George Krol, “Atameken business channel" reports.
The cost of equipping the pavilion, according to George Krol, will be covered by the contributions of large enterprises that participate in the exhibition. Among them are such corporations as Chevron and General Electric.
"The US government is inadmissible to spend government money on the pavilion of the national exhibition, that is why the American pavilion is funded only by contributions from sponsors, mostly businesses who want to present themselves and be part of it. Financing is completely private," Krol explained.
In addition, a diplomat spoke about the theme of the American pavilion - "The source of infinite energy". The exposition will be devoted to the role of innovations in the development of mankind.
Let us remind, at the meeting, Ambassador George Krol also said that US President Donald Trump will not come to exhibition EXPO due to the tight schedule. Earlier, during the presentation of credentials by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United States of America Yerzhan Kazykhanov to the American leader, the US president highly assessed Kazakhstan's achievements over the years of independence, as well as the republic's contribution to international and regional security. Trump then expressed interest in expanding Kazakh-American relations and expressed support for the upcoming international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana.
The US signed a participation agreement for the world exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 in the Kazakh capital on February 24. American diplomats even dedicated a special ecological action to the exhibition, in which they urge Kazakhstanis to refuse free plastic bags in supermarkets.
In addition to the developments from the world-famous American companies, it is expected that in the US pavilion at EXPO 2017 eight American startups on the theme of "Energy of the Future" will be presented at once.
It should be noted that earlier it became known that an Open Doors Day was held within the framework of the promotion of EXPO 2017 at the Kazakh Embassy in the United States.
In addition to Kazakhstani diplomats, Astana EXPO 2017 in the US is also being advertised by Arman Belasar, a native of Kazakhstan, who lives in New York. The businessman owns a park of 200 cars, on which is written "Welcome to Kazakhstan". The entrepreneur is advertising the exhibition with an invitation to visit his native country absolutely for free.
