More than 154 thousand people visited the pavilion of Russia for 25 days of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. This was announced by the director of the pavilion of the Russian Federation Yulia Lopareva, RIA "Novosti" reports.
According to Lopareva, it is not the number of visitors that is important but the emotions and informativeness that the Russian pavilion provides to its guests. The Russian pavilion received about two hundred official delegations for almost a month. The guests include the famous EXPO-grandmother - eighty-year-old Japanese Tomio Yamado. In addition, a hundred-thousandth visitor of the Russian pavilion received tickets for a concert of Russian performers Yegor Creed and Polina Gagarina as a gift.
"In addition, we gave our guests various delicacies from different regions of Russia: jam from cones from the Urals, jam from berries from Karelia, Bashkir honey and, of course, the famous Tula cake as well as the development of Moscow masters - an eternal pencil which can write for 25 years and does not have to be sharpened. The two hundred thousandth or three hundred thousandth visitors will receive a special place on the stage on the day of the National Day of Russia at the EXPO which will take place on September 8", - the pavilion director said.
Lopareva reminded that the central exhibit of the pavilion is a real iceberg. Perhaps, as the director of the exposition said, it will be given to Kazakhstan after the exhibition.
"Of course, we will not break it, perhaps we will leave it here for colleagues from Kazakhstan as a memorable gift of Russian participation in EXPO 2017. Why not?" - Lopareva noted.
The Russian exposition which is the most visited at the EXPO 2017 is devoted to the Arctic theme. The Russian Federation considers this region as the basis for obtaining the energy of the future. In addition, within the framework of the exhibition, Russia will hold more than 100 business forums and conferences. More than 200 companies and subjects of the federation will take part in them.
Russia plans to demonstrate to its visitors of the exhibition the diversity of its culture during the days of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. Cultural and educational activities will be organized to reveal the diversity of the Russian Federation.
In the field of technology, Russia will be represented at EXPO by projects from "Skolkovo", a Russian analogue of the American Silicon Valley.
In total, about 200 million rubles (3.5 million dollars at the current rate) are allocated from the Russian federal budget for participation in the EXPO 2017.
Let us note that in early May Akim of Aktyubinsk region Berdybek Saparbayev invited Kazakhs living in Russia to the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017.
Earlier, the opening ceremony of the world specialized exhibition and the Russian pavilion Astana EXPO 2017 was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader got acquainted with the technologies of the company Uralkali, inspected the water installation "Energy of the Arctic" and also was interested in the installation dedicated to the Amur tiger.
