EXPO 2022 Polish candidate city has been announced

5 May

Poland will promote its candidacy for an international exhibition in 2022 at the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. This was stated by representatives of the national section of Poland at EXPO 2017 in Astana, the "Vlast" online magazine reports.

Poland chose the city of Lodz, which is recognized as the most attractive place for investors in the country in the country to fight for the right to hold EXPO 2022. It has more than 20 universities whose graduates can become a promising workforce for future enterprises. In addition, Lodz is located in the geographical center of Poland at the intersection of all the main communication arteries. In addition, the city has a special economic zone.

According to the representatives of the Polish pavilion, the exhibition in Kazakhstan opens new opportunities for entrepreneurs from Poland.

"We treat the EXPO as an opportunity to develop economic and trade contacts with Kazakhstan. The trade turnover with the republic reached its peak in 2014 and then began to fall. We now want to reverse this trend and believe that Kazakhstan is our key partner In Central Asia", - said Michal Polyansky, Director of the Economic Promotion Department of the Polish Agency for Entrepreneurship Development.

Let us remind that the first plans to compete for the right to hold the world exhibition EXPO 2022 have been announced in early April at a meeting in Warsaw dedicated to Poland's participation in EXPO 2017.

It should be noted that the first flight of the Polish airline LOT from Warsaw to Astana will be launched on May 8. Kazakhstan citizens will spend only five hours to get to the capital of Poland.
