President of the United States Donald Trump congratulated the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Kazakhstani people on holding the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017, EXPO2017.com website reports with reference to the press service of Akorda. The head of the White House in his letter noted that the exhibition EXPO in Central Asia is being held for the first time.
According to Trump, thanks to this global event, more than a million visitors from Kazakhstan and the whole world will be involved in the amazing atmosphere of technological innovations, inspired by the human imagination and partnership reflected in more than 115 national pavilions.
"The United States of America is honoured to participate in EXPO 2017 in Astana and to present America's best inventions in the field of energy, science and technology, as well as our cultural diversity," Trump wrote to the President of Kazakhstan.
The American leader stressed that the US pavilion is an important symbol of the strategic partnership that the two countries have strengthened over the past quarter century and demonstrate the United States commitment to move towards peace, stability and prosperity in the region for years to come.
"I welcome Kazakhstan and you, Mr. President, for your vision and leadership in advancing the global dialogue on energy security through EXPO 2017. I look forward to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the United States and Kazakhstan based on mutual respect and common interests," Trump concluded.
Let us remind, in April, during the presentation of credentials to Donald Trump by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United States Yerzhan Kazykhanov, the US President highly appreciated Kazakhstan's achievements in the years of independence, as well as the republic's contribution to international and regional security. Trump then expressed interest in the expansion of Kazakh-American relations and expressed support for the forthcoming international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana. It was reported then that the American leader could visit the exhibition, but later it became known that the head of the White House would not be able to come because of the tight schedule.
