Tourist information booths will be available for the use of the guests of the capital of Kazakhstan during the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana. This was reported in the press service of akim of Astana at a briefing dedicated to the readiness of the city to hold the exhibition.

The consultants of the centres can answer all questions: from calling a taxi to booking a room in the hotel. The employees of the booths can consult tourists in six languages, including English, Chinese and other languages,” reported in the Akimat.

Information materials contain a map of the city, a guide to attractions, a calendar of the events and other data that anyone can get.

“It is also possible to contact the consultants in the remote access of the Unified free call centre in 24/7 mode by number: 88 000 803 838. With the help of these services, Astana guests will be able to get all the necessary information about the tourist potential of the city.

"Our main task is for all tourists to leave with good impressions about the city and our country and would like to return. One of the challenges that we paid more attention to is the number of placements. On the average of the registration file in Astana, we will need about 32 thousand places,” said director of “Astana Convention Bureau” LLP Saniyar Aitekenov.

There are now 190 hotels with 13.6 thousand seats in Astana. Soon, 11 more hotels will open for 1,318 places, 10,000 seats will be provided by 3 thousand rental apartments. The Torlet.сom website was developed and launched, which will continue its work also after the exhibition. At the moment, the website hosts 500 apartments.

Videos about the pedestrian orientation system, excursions by a two-storey Astana Sightseeing Tour bus and other tourist facilities were presented at a briefing.

"For foreign tourists, those who need temporary registration, can get it at the place of residence, in hotels and hotel complexes. This system was fully tested, we worked out this issue with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. First we worked in three, then in five hotels of the city. Now we have online registration in all hotels and hostels. It is convenient, there is no need to go to the district police department,” the deputy akim of Astana, Malika Bekturova said.

In addition, according to the press service of akim of Astana, for the period of the exhibition about 1,500 volunteers, who speak foreign languages will be assisting the tourists.
