The Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has conducted a questionnaire survey that served as a basis of a portrait of the visitor of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017. This was written in the "Kazakhstanskaya Pravda" newspaper.
"This questionnaire was conducted with entry visitors (non-residents, a sample of which amounted to about 14 thousand people) at airports, railway stations, bus stations and car checkpoints at the time of their departure from Kazakhstan", - the first vice-minister of the national economy Ruslan Dalenov said.
It turned out that 91% of the respondents knew about the forthcoming exhibition and two-thirds were ready to visit it. 65% of foreign visitors are going to buy the tickets worth 3-5 thousand tenge, most of them will be accommodated in hotels
"A substantial share of foreigners who decided to visit the regions near to Astana plan to go to Borovoye, slightly less - to Akmola and Karaganda regions, less often to more remote regions", - Dalenov added.
A portrait of a Kazakhstani EXPO 2017 visitor has also been drawn up - the department conducted a study among Kazakhstan residents. According to the results, 56.8% of respondents know about the exhibition and 39.7% are ready to visit it. Basically, the guests from the regions will stay with their elatives or friends.
"I think that the guests of Astana will be pleased to visit the youngest and largest museum in Central Asia - the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is one of the ten largest expositions in the world. The unique museum complex has an area of 74,000 square meters and consists of seven blocks with variable storeys up to the ninth floor. The exhibition area is occupied by 11 halls with a total area of more than 14,000 square meters", - the deputy minister summed up.
