Technological progress in the sphere of alternative energy led to a breakthrough achievement, the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported. Thanks to the new development, solar panels will be twice as efficient.
"Special STPV thermoelectric photovoltaic solar cells will be able to absorb not only 32% of the sunlight energy but also the recycled energy of heat. The new technology turns solar cells into an absorber and a radiator simultaneously. By absorbing the energy of light, the batteries convert it into heat energy that is transformed into light energy when the temperature reaches 1000 degrees. The rays of the transformed energy catch the photocells and a special photocamera reflects non-absorbed photons and laucnhes the process of their re-use", - a press release posted on the website of the Kazakhstan government said.
Earlier, the EXPO2017.com website has already told about the top 10 startup projects of the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 in the field of solar energy. In total, about two dozen innovative projects in the field of solar energy will be presented at the exhibition.
