The National Center for Rare Books and Manuscripts will open at the EXPO

The National Center for Rare Books and Manuscripts will begin its work in Astana within the framework of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. The organizers of the complex program of cultural and entertainment and sports events of the exhibition informed about this.

"The National Academic Library opens the National Center for Rare Books and Manuscripts on its basis, thereby making its historical contribution to the preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. The purpose of the center's opening is to create a Unified Fund for Rare Books and Manuscripts of Kazakhstan ensuring their safety and rational use and to establish a database of "Rare books and manuscripts of Kazakhstan" on the basis of the Kazakhstan National Electronic Library", - the organizers said.

Guests of the world exhibition will have an opportunity to visit the center for free from 10:00 to 19:00 every day from the opening day of the EXPO 2017 until the end of the event.
