Within EXPO three large-scale festivals to be held in honour of the City Day in Astana

Within the framework of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 3 large-scale festivals will be held in honour of the City Day in Astana. The State Academic Philharmonic Society of Akimat of Astana will conduct the events from July 1 to July 6 with the support of the Culture Department, EXPO2017.com website reports with reference to the press service of akim of the city.

"The residents and guests of the capital will be able to visit the II International Festival of Folk Dance Ensembles "Shashu", the VIII International Festival of Brass Orchestras "Astana Samaly", V Republican Festival of Orchestras of Kazakh Folk Instruments “Serper”. This year the International Festival of Folk Dance Ensembles “Shashu" will be held from 1 to 3 July on the city square. The leading ensembles of Kazakhstan (“Shalkyma", Astana; “Nazerke”, Uralsk; “Tomiris”, Kyzylorda; “Altynai", Taldykorgan), Kyrgyzstan (“Akmaral”), Bashkortostan (Sterlitamak State Dance Ensemble) and Russia (“Ogon’ki”) are invited to participate in the festival,” in the press service said.

Within the framework of the festival of brass bands, such collectives as the State Academic Philharmonic Society of Akimat of Astana, the Exemplary Orchestra of the National Guard of Kazakhstan, the Brass Band of the Military Institute of the National Guard of Petropavlovsk, the Orenburg Municipal Orchestra and other bands will demonstrate their art.

The concert will begin on July 4 at 9 p.m. on the square near “Baiterek” monument.

"On July 5, from 10:00 am, the collectives will deliver a festive program in city parks and city squares. On the evening of July 5, at 7:30 p.m. a band marathon will take place on the stage near the “Baiterek" monument. The concert parade which will be attended by all the collectives of  "Astana Samaly 2017", will be held on July 6 at 10 a.m. on the Republic Avenue from the Military History Museum to “Zhastar” Palace with the participation of a company of female drummers from Astana .On the same day, July 6, at 4 p.m. a formation concert will be held on the square in front of Akimat, where all the orchestras will unite,” report says.

V Republican Festival of Orchestras of Kazakh Folk Instruments "Serper" will be held from 4 to 6 July.

"The opening of the festival will be held on July 4 at 7 p.m. on the square near “Baiterek” monument.  On July 5, concerts of the orchestras - participants of the festival will begin from 11 a.m. in Stolichny, Studenchesky and “Zheruyik” parks. Each orchestra, according to the festival’s regulations will present its special concert program. On the same day, on July 5, at 5 p.m. on the square near “Baiterek”monument will begin a "Kui Keruen” concert, where the audience will meet with the Folk Instruments Orchestra named after Gaziza Zhubanova (Aktobe), the orchestra of the Kazakh National Instruments named after Tattimbet (Karaganda), The Russian Academic Orchestra (Novosibirsk) and others,” the organizers said.

On July 6 at 1 p.m., a gala concert of the V Republican Festival of Orchestras of Kazakh Folk Instruments “Serper”, dedicated to the Day of the Capital will be held on the city square. In the gala concert the audience will hear the most famous and well known kuis from “Serper”and “Saryarka” performed by one large orchestra in the number of about 200 musicians conducted by Aytkali Zhaimov, organizers of the festivals inform.
