The project on the demolition of dilapidated houses in the capital city is not connected with the holding of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. This was stated by the deputy head of the city housing department Askhat Yeleuzhanov, the information portal Today.kz reports.
"Today some residents of the capital have an opinion that the pilot project for the demolition of emergency houses is somehow connected with the upcoming exhibition EXPO 2017. In fact, it has a planned nature and by the end of 2017 we plan to resettle the inhabitants of 111 houses that is 1,700 families", - said Yeleuzhanov.
The management noted that the houses built in the 40s and 70s of the last century will be brought under demolition. Residents of emergency and dilapidated houses, according to the representative of the Akimat of Astana, will receive apartments with an equal area.
"In this case people should understand that the new houses are provided regardless of the number of rooms and members of the family of owners. Old houses are changed to equivalent only to the square of the houses", - said the deputy head of the city administration.
Let us remind that in mid-May the house of Astana resident Nesipkul Uyabayeva located next to the territory of the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 was demolished as part of the demolition of dilapidated houses project. The mass media were interested in this story because the woman in an attempt to save her home covered her house with portraits of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. However, the house was not saved from demolition.
