About 15 tourist companies of Tamil Nadu state took part in the presentation dedicated to the tourist potential of Kazakhstan. The event was organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in India, “Kazinform” reported.
As the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of India Bulat Sarsenbayev noted in his speech, the volume of the incoming tourist flow from India to Kazakhstan in the first quarter of this year increased by 35%, compared to the last year's indicator. In general, Indian tourists are interested in travelling to such cities as Almaty and Astana.
In addition, new flights between Kazakhstan and India will be opened specially for the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017.
"In June of this year, the launch of the Astana-Delhi-Astana flight is planned, on which the air carrier offers a promotion to provide a free ticket for EXPO 2017. In general, the frequency of passenger flights between Kazakhstan and India is planned to increase to 24 flights a week,” Sarsenbayev said.
Let us remind, earlier it became known that for the exhibition an unlimited Open Sky regime will be introduced at the airport of the capital, and on May 15, the construction of a new terminal will be completed in the air harbour. In addition, new regular flights will start their operation. The plans for the launch of new routes have already been announced by Chinese "Air China", Ukrainian "UIA", Hungarian "Wizz Air”, Polish “LOT”, Finnish “Finnair” and Tajik “Tajik Air”. National carrier "Air Astana" has informed that all passengers arriving by the aircrafts of its airlines during the period of EXPO 2017 will be able to visit the exhibition for free, and also announced about the increase in flights through Astana.
