A booth dedicated to the forthcoming EXPO 2017 in Astana opened at the World Museum of International Exhibitions In Shanghai. This was reported by IIA "Kazinform".
"The opening of the Kazakhstan booth was held within the framework of the first forum "WE Talk" (World EXPO Talks - similar to TED's Talks) where experts spoke and discussed the role of EXPO in education and scientific and technical progress of mankind. The event was attended by representatives of the General Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the PRC led by Zhoshykhan Kyraubaev", - the agency informs.
The participants were shown a video about the EXPO 2017 and also presented a dance, song and kyu performed by activists of the Shanghai branch of the Association of Kazakhstani Students in China (KSAC).
"EXPO will be held in Astana in June-September 2017 and Dubai will host this prestigious event in 2020. Our museum is ready for international cooperation with the countries of the "One Belt, One Way" in the field of scientific research, collection of exhibits, cultural exchanges and other events", - shared the director of the World EXPO Museum Liu Xuhua.
The publication reminds that in November 2010 the International Exhibitions Bureau (IEB) decided to create the world's first thematic museum dedicated to the world's EXPO exhibitions in Shanghai. On May 1, 2017, a new museum with exhibits embodying a rich set of scientific, technical and cultural achievements of the world community opened the doors in the Chinese metropolis.
"The museum jointly created by the city government and the IEB is located in the urban district of Pusi on the site where the EXPO Shanghai 2010 started 7 years ago. The museum is intended to become a "base of knowledge about the culture of EXPO and world innovations. There are 8 halls with a total area of 9 thousand square meters, each hall is devoted to a separate theme.The visitors will be able to see over 3 thousand exhibits collected from different corners of the world and dedicated to world exhibitions for the last more than 160 years of history. The exhibits show how people react to problems and opportunities including water resources, transportation, robotics, space technologies and others", - the agency reports.
The design and layout of the booth was carried out by an international team of Chinese, Spanish and Italian specialists. The museum is open to visitors from all over the world. Excursion services are provided not only in Chinese but in English as well.
