Welcome to Astana

"Terracotta Army of Qin Shi Huang" exhibition was opened within the framework of the EXPO in Astana

13 June

About 50 archaeological items were brought to Astana from China. They include monuments that are on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, "TASS" reports.

Terracotta Army of the Emperor Qin Shihuandi presents clay statues of Chinese soldiers made in 210-209 BC and then buried with the emperor. It should be noted that each figure of a warrior has his own unique features. In addition to statues of soldiers, weapons, shingles, dishes, gold and silver ornaments are exhibited in Astana.

"The relations between the peoples of our countries are being strengthened year after year. The result of close cooperation and friendship was the opening of this exhibition. The presented exhibits are original statues and we can see that the show is of great interest for visitors", - said the representative of China, director Management of cultural monuments of Shaanxi Province Zhao Rong.

Let us remind that news about holding the "Terracotta Army of the Emperor Qin Shihuandi" exhibition in Astana from June 9 to September 10 became known in March. The exposition is organized within the framework of China's participation in the world specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017.

The EXPO2017.com website has already mentioned five reasons why the forthcoming Astana EXPO 2017 exhibition is of interest to the Chinese people. The main reasons include the upcoming concert of Dimash Kudaibergen who plunged China in a real "Dimashemania after his participation in the "I'm a singer" contest.

In addition, China issued memorable banknotes in honor of EXPO 2017. Special bank notes were issued for the first time in the history of the international exhibition movement.

It became known in early May that China will receive two pavilions at the EXPO exhibition. China is going to focus on the achievements enabling to receive electricity and nuclear energy from water. Green cars of Chinese production will be demonstrated at the exhibition.

The delegation from China is expected to be the largest one at EXPO 2017. The Chinese exhibition pavilion will host the Xinjiang Week, "The Year of China's Tourism in Kazakhstan" and the National Day of China in Astana and the Week of Beijing will start on June 16.

The festival of Chinese cinema with the participation of the legendary actor of militants Jackie Chan has already started within the framework of China's participation in the EXPO in Astana. He took part in the opening ceremony of the festival. The actor came to Astana to present his new film "Kung Fu Yoga". Jackie Chan was greeted in Kazakhstan with great delight. He even managed to take part in the traditional Kazakh ritual of child's first steps called "tsuau kesu".

It is also known that the International Radio of China will provide information support to the EXPO and the "Xinhua" agency even released a small video about the love of the Chinese and Kazakhstani people on the eve of the exhibition. The video is based on the story of the Chinese leader Xi Jinping about the events that occurred in the 60s of last century.

Earlier, Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Hanhui expressed concern about possible problems with visas for Chinese people prior to the EXPO 2017. According to the Ambassador, there is uncertainty in the issue of obtaining visas related to the work of private Kazakhstani intermediaries.

Due to the increased interest of Chinese citizens to the exhibition, the diplomats of Kazakhstan and China have already switched to an advanced schedule of work.
