Famous American designer Jeffrey Bradfield will come to Astana to the world specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. He has been working in the interior and architecture for more than 50 years, the "Khabar" TV channel reports.
Bradfield was called the "Dean of American Design" in the world ranking of the authors of the best projects. He works on projects in Japan, Singapore, Qatar and Shanghai. Currently, the design of the house of film director Oliver Stone is being finalized. The American designer has already visited several international exhibitions EXPO. Bradfield will come to Astana for new sources of inspiration and interesting contacts.
"We are very happy that we are going to Kazakhstan. It's our first time. We traveled all over the world but now we want to visit Kazakhstan, the 9th largest country in the world, and we are impressed. I understand that EXPO in Astana will be very successful. You have built a new city. I have visited the EXPO in Shanghai, it was phenomenal but they did not create a new city like you in a short time. This intrigues me", - the architect said.
Bradfield is the owner of prestigious world awards, the author of books on the art of interior and culture of different countries. He leads a column in the popular New York Times newspaper and participates in American television shows.
The US signed a contract of participation in the world exhibition Astana EXPO 2017 in the Kazakh capital on February 24. American diplomats even dedicated a special ecological campaign to the exhibition calling on the people of Kazakhstan to refuse free plastic bags in supermarkets.
In addition to developments from world-renowned American companies, it is expected that 8 US startups on the "Energy of the Future" will be presented at once in the US pavilion at the EXPO 2017.
It should be noted that earlier it became known that an open day will be held within the framework of the promotion of EXPO 2017 at the Kazakh Embassy in the United States.
US President Donald Trump was reported to be interested in the exhibition but later Ambassador George Krol said that the American leader will not come to the EXPO exhibition because of the tight schedule. Shortly before, during the presentation of credentials by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United States of America Yerzhan Kazykhanov to the American leader, the US president highly appreciated the achievements made by Kazakhstan in the years of independence as well as the republic's contribution to international and regional security. Trump then expressed interest in expanding Kazakh-American relations and expressed support for the upcoming international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana.
In addition to Kazakhstani diplomats, the Astana EXPO 2017 exhibition in the US is also advertised by Arman Belasar, a native of Kazakhstan, who lives in New York. The businessman owns a park of 200 cars with signatures "Welcome to Kazakhstan" on them. The entrepreneur posted an absolutely free advertising for the exhibition with an invitation to visit his native country.
It should be noted that not a single cent will not be spent from the state treasury for the US participation in the world specialized exhibition EXPO - funding comes from sponsorship fees.
